Welcome! My name is Elizabeth. I am currently a student at NAU on my way to earning a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am almost there! I have worked with children in different countries. I first started babysitting children of troubled families at the age of twelve. By age fourteen, I was working taking care of children at a center for unwed mothers. At age eigteen I joined a non-profit organization, which has foundations in fifteen different countries on four Continents. Through this charitable organization, I have had the opportunity to work with underprivileged children. In 2005, I was sent back to the United States to begin a formal education and become a teacher. My hopes are to return to Nigeria to teach. I was born to be a teacher!
This blog has been created to share different sources on literacy and how to best help our young children to acquire a strong foundation in it, so as to ensure their future success. Together we can make a big difference in the lives of many children. So let's get started.
